Assistance League of Reno-Sparks is helping Dixie fire victims by donating gently used clothing, linens, sleeping bags, toys, and other items that the affected families can use. The first truckload went to Susanville last weekend, and additional shipments are being planned.
“The Dixie fire is an epic tragedy for so many households. We are delighted that we have a generous community which has provided the Thrift Store with a store full of gently used and almost-new items that we can choose from for the victims,” stated Barbara Holt, Assistance League president-elect. “As soon as we found transportation, several of our volunteer members leapt into action, packing up the best items. Assistance League is grateful to be able to help them at this tragic time.”
