Reno-Sparks – Partners with Target to Provide Shoes

Around 3,500 students in need in Washoe County got to shop until they drop this Thursday evening thanks to a local nonprofit.

Selected students from the Washoe County School District got to shop for free at the Target at Legends in Sparks. This was all made possible by Operation School Bell put on by the Assistance League in Reno-Sparks.

The organization provides elementary and middle school students a shopping experience for brand new clothing. The students are selected by WCSD counselors who were advised concerning the number of students they can assist at each school.

According to the league, his is their 35th year helping local students in need.
