Assistance League of San Bernardino installed their 2016-2017 Board at their chapter house in San Bernardino Monday night. This year’s board members are all residents of Highland and those in attendance were Mindy Erickson, Marney Reinhart, Lillian Pedroza, Sherry Lopez, Bobbi Simenton, Deborah Karalun, and Heidi Vazquez.
Assistance League of San Bernardino thanked their out-going executive board and welcomed the incoming 2016-2017 executive board Monday night at their chapter house in San Bernardino during their annual meeting.
“My year as president has been extremely smooth and successful due to the fact that our board of directors has been a group of tireless leaders who have contributed countless hours to Assistance League of San Bernardino. I feel privileged to be associated with such an amazing group of women who truly care about the community of San Bernardino,’ shared Carol Burroughs the chapter’s outgoing President.
Assistance League is a non-profit organization that serves children in need in our community. Since 1949 they have been helping students with dental needs in the Dr. Earl R. Crane Children’s Dental Center that began a dental hygiene program in 1952 and has been providing clothing since 1983 with Operation School Bell.
Members of Assistance League are encouraged to volunteer a minimum of fifty hours a year, including time at meetings, kindergarten oral hygiene instruction, shopping with students for Operation School Bell and the annual fundraiser Headdress Ball.
Member’s that were installed for the new year’s executive board are: Mindy Erickson, President; Malla Tillman, Vice President Membership; Lillian Pedroza, Vice President Fundraising; Marney Reinhart, Recording Secretary; Heidi Vazquez, Treasurer; Bobbi Simenton, Assistant Treasurer and Liaison to Les Confreres Auxiliary; Deborah Karalun, Dr. Earl R. Crane Children’s Dental Health Center and Public Relations chair; and Sherry Lopez, Operation School Bell chair.
Assistance League of San Bernardino meets on the second Monday of the month at the League House located at 580 West 6th Street, San Bernardino, CA 92410 at 6:00 p.m. Their next meeting will be held September 12, 2016 guests are welcome.
