Montgomery County – Receives Grant from Woodforest Charitable Foundation

Assistance League of Montgomery County is the beneficiary of a $30,000. grant provided by the Woodforest Charitable Foundation, an organization founded in 2005 and supported through generous donations from Woodforest National Bank and its employees, friends, and customers. Upon awarding the grant, Estelle Mc Laughlin, Executive Director of the Woodforest Charitable Foundation, stated, “The Woodforest Charitable Foundation is thrilled to be asked to partner with Assistance League of Montgomery County in support of programs and services which provide so much to so many in our communities.”

This grant will be used to support over 4,000 at-risk and/or economically disadvantaged students in Montgomery County with new school clothes and shoes during the 2018-2019 school year. Through this grant, students recommended by school counselors will be invited, along with their parents to shopping events at local stores.
