Assistance League of Corvallis: Serving Benton County for 54 Years

For more than five decades, volunteers with Assistance League of Corvallis have dedicated themselves to transforming the lives of children and adults throughout Benton County.  Our mission remains steadfast:  to improve lives through impactful community programs.

Operation School Bell®, a signature program offered by all 120 Assistance League chapters nationwide, provides new clothing and hygiene supplies to school children in need. In addition, our Corvallis chapter supports the community through several local initiatives:

  • Hygiene Help
  • RED (Read Every Day)
  • Hug-A-Bear
  • Dental Education
  • Jackson Street Youth Services Partnership

To learn more about each of these programs, please visit the Programs section of our website.

Supporting Our Mission

Our philanthropic work is funded through generous donations, grants, an annual direct mail campaign in support of Operation School Bell®, and two major community fundraisers:

  • The Galleria is a one-day event showcasing carefully crafted, unique items and packaged ALC Foods. The 2025 Galleria will take place on October 25th at the First Congregational Church.
  • Winter’s Eve Corvallis is a magical evening of shopping, food, drinks, raffles, and a silent auction, held downtown on Madison Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Winter’s Eve 2025 will be held on December 5th.

I hope you’ll join us for these special events.

Powered by Volunteers

Our chapter is entirely volunteer-run, with 180 members contributing more than 18,000 hours annually in support of our programs. Assistance League of Corvallis has no paid staff. Members serve on the Board of Directors, chair committees, and bring their individual talents to help further our mission.

As a chapter of Assistance League®, we are a nonprofit, nonpolitical, and nonsectarian organization—open to all who wish to make a difference in our community.
