About Us
The Assistance League of Denver® established the Assisteens Auxiliary in August of 2021 for students in grades 8-12. Assisteens provides a unique opportunity for students to develop a sense of community responsibility, self-reliance, personal responsibility, and leadership skills. We are dedicated to community service through support of the Assistance League of Denver.

Assisteens have the opportunity to support philanthropic projects such as Operation School Bell®, ALDO Bears (bears for children in crisis), ASK® (Assault Survivor Kits), HELP (Hospital Equipment Lending Program) and Serves Our Seniors (senior citizens). Assisteens are often asked to work beside Assistance League of Denver members to support these projects.

Fundraising for Assistance League of Denver involves volunteering at the Denver Thrift Shop, located at 6265 E Evans Avenue. Assisteens work with Assistance League of Denver members to help run the Thrift Store by sorting, stocking, and staffing the Thrift Shop.

Leadership opportunities include serving as an officer on the Assisteen Board or serving as chair for one of the four committees. Members participate in a committee of their choice and may also chair a special event.

Finally, Assisteens provide an environment to build friendships, memories, and practical skills that will last a lifetime. We welcome you to explore our volunteer organization and to join our chapter.
