Thanksgiving Week Hours: Closed Wednesday and Thursday
Please note that our Thrift Shop (both retail and donations) will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, November 26 and 27, so that our volunteers may celebrate Thanksgiving with their families. Our Hospital Equipment Lending Program will also be closed.
We wish all of our customers, donors, and supporters a very happy Thanksgiving filled with family, laughter, and much good food.
FRIDAY: A Day of Thanks – and Sales!
On Friday, November 28, stop in so we can say Thank You. We are especially thankful this year for everyone’s patience during construction of our new alcove, which allows us to present more merchandise for you. Browse our new space and pick up a free Thrift Shop bookmark, while supplies last. Thank you to all our customers and volunteers for everyone’s continuing support.
And since it’s Black Friday, we are also running some special sales. The shop is offering 50% OFF Friday and Saturday ONLY on Games. Pick up a new game or an old favorite to play with family and friends during your holiday get togethers.
We also have 50% OFF on Men’s Shirts & Slacks and Women’s Holiday Apparel, only on Friday and Saturday. These sale items will return to regular prices following this two-day sale, so shop now for your holiday clothing and games for under the tree.
Women’s sale excludes Designer and Our Very Best clothing. With all items, please ask our volunteers if you have any questions regarding whether an item is on sale.
SATURDAY: Pop-Up Bag Bonanza
Assistance League Thrift Shop is clearing out in-season merchandise to make space for new donations! For just $20 (CASH ONLY), fill a reusable ALD tote bag with a variety of overstock items. You’ll find stocking stuffers, gifts, decorations, and more!
A limited supply of artificial Christmas trees will also be available – priced as marked (not included in $20/bag promotion).
The Bag Bonanza opens at 10AM on Small Business Saturday, November 29, and goes until 4PM or when all items are sold. The Bonanza is at the Assistance League EVENT CENTER, with glass entry doors in the rear of our strip mall, on the end near McDonalds. You cannot get to the Event Center through the Thrift Shop, you must go around the building. Look for the Event Center sign!
Our Thrift Shop will also be open on Saturday, 10AM-4PM, as usual.
Colorado Gives Day
As most of you know, our volunteer-run Thrift Shop supports our local programs that meet the needs of our neighbors throughout the greater Denver area. We clothe school children, provide them enrichment opportunities, and ensure they and their families are not hungry. We loan hospital equipment to the sick or injured at no cost. We supply area hospitals with new clothing for assault victims. We offer seniors meals, socialization, and educational events in a safe environment. And we provide scholarships to community college students.
We truly appreciate your ongoing support, both by shopping at our store and by donating your gently-used items. The need in our community is so great, however, that more resources are needed. If you are in a position to help further, please consider making a donation to Assistance League of Denver for Colorado Gives Day before December 9th. No donation is too small to make a difference. The Assistance League of Denver Thrift Shop is located at 6265 E. Evans, Suite 8, Denver 80222. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4PM.
Our upscale Thrift Shop is the main source of funding for our eight philanthropic programs. It is staffed and managed entirely by our member volunteers. We are proud of our reputation as one of the best and friendliest thrift shops in the Denver area. Our members work hard to make sure the merchandise is always good quality, clean, and priced fairly. Thrift Shop Donations
Your donations are always appreciated! Donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided.
Please bring your “gently used” items to the Thrift Shop door in the back of the building. Ring the bell and we will gladly assist you in dropping off your items. There is ample parking in the back area.
For safety reasons, donations are accepted only during business hours. We take your donations Monday through Saturday from 11AM-2PM, OR UNTIL FULL. Please, do NOT leave items outside when we are closed as they will be damaged by the weather. Call 720 638-3650 for questions.
