45 Year Celebration

Assistance League volunteers Diane Colville, Linda White, Arlita Smith and Beth Larson celebrated Assistance League Thrift Shop’s 45 years in business. The celebration took place in Lafayette at the thrift shop, 3521 Golden Gate Way, next to the Park Theater, Saturday, June 29. Shoppers enjoyed 45% off all merchandise, along with prizes and give aways.

We Love to R.E.A.D.!

Our member volunteers in the R.E.A.D. [Read, Enrich, Achieve, Discover] program read to approximately 1,000 second grade students in 39 classrooms in 13 schools in the Mt. Assistance League Diablo Valley awards funds to foster youth through our Senior Year Sponsorships philanthropic program. Last year, we provided $10,000 in funding to help foster youth seniors to be able to participate in senior year activities during this exciting milestone year for them.
