Assistance League of Diablo Valley is proud to announce that it has received a Philanthropy Award from the Make It Better Foundation. As the inaugural Bay Area winner in the Social Services category, we were selected based on our excellence, scalability, efficiency, leadership and effectiveness. This award was presented live in Sausalito on November 18, 2021.
We were recognized for working effectively and efficiently with our nonprofit partners to help improve lives in our community through our 16 programs. For example, we provide low income students with food and clothing through our Common Threads and Sunshine Boxes programs. We also address community needs by providing kits of supplies to support at-risk babies, foster youth, sexual assault survivors and others. These programs help us to reach 10,000 people in need in Contra Costa County in 2020-21.
Assistance League of Diablo Valley is grateful to the Make It Better Foundation for its vote of confidence in us! We are appreciative of the support that is helping us improve our organization and provide more and better services to our community.
One part of our award package is a professionally produced webinar about our organization. This webinar will happen live on Facebook and LinkedIn on Wednesday, May 4, at 1:30 p.m. Check back here for more details as the date draws nearer.
