The Kids on the Block Annually Present Educational Puppet Shows to approximately 3,400 Students

The Kids on the Block philanthropic program is designed to provide a non- threatening environment in which children learn about disabilities, safety issues and social problems. The program includes an exchange between students and puppets to clarify, expand ideas or answer questions about the topics covered in the scripts. Viewing The Kids on the Block performance is an unforgettable educational experience.

Assistance League Offers These Programs for Students in Grade Levels K-3

  • Kindergarten: Scripts dealing with safety (fire and strangers) and teasing. The program lasts approximately 25 minutes.
  • 1st Grade: Scripts dealing with fire safety and bullying. The program lasts approximately 30 minutes.
  • 2nd Grade: Scripts dealing with divorce, learning disabilities, physical disabilities (cerebral palsy) and emotional disabilities. The program lasts approximately 35 minutes.
  • 3rd Grade: Scripts dealing with physical disabilities (blindness) and bullying. The program lasts approximately 40 minutes.
