Assisteens® is an auxiliary of Assistance League of Everett.  Membership begins in 7th grade and continues through senior year.  Participation in Assisteens develops personal growth, leadership skills, poise, public speaking skills, and a sense of civic responsibility.

Assisteens, guided by Assisteens Coordinator, elect a chairman and a governing body, follow a budget, organize a fundraiser, volunteer with various community philanthropic programs and participate in Assistance League programs.  Please contact us for more information.

Fundraising

Funding for Assisteens programs comes from the proceeds of the annual spaghetti feed dinner, car washes, sales of raffle baskets and holiday wreaths. In addition, the Assisteens work in our Thrift  Shop to earn money to support these programs.

Philanthropic Programs

Tees for Teens:  Assisteens are proud and honored to manage the Tees for Teens program. There are kids in our community who can’t afford new clothes for school.  These students visit our Operation School Bell® program to select new clothing for school.  We raise funds all year to purchase tees and tops for those who visit Operation School Bell.

Grooming Kits:  Assisteens assemble approximately 3,000 grooming kits at our monthly meetings and other work parties to be distributed in Operation School Bell.

Other:

  • Valentine baskets for 3 – 4 year children living in sheltered housing
  • Making dog and cat blankets for the local animal shelter
  • Writing letters to military personnel
  • Providing a hot meal to young adults at Cocoon House
