Philanthropic Programs

By keeping our eyes open and seeing where help is needed, then just doing what needs to be done.

Operation School Bell®

Our oldest and largest outreach program, Operation School Bell provides new clothing, hygiene kits, and shoes for students experiencing “hard times.”  Learn more about Operation School Bell by clicking here.

Graduation Awards

Needs come in all colors and shapes.  For high school seniors who have made it to graduation, which is quite an accomplishment for many reasons, the financial cost is too much for them or their families to cover.  We provide awards to qualified graduating high school students to help with senior year expenses.

Everett Community College Scholarships

Through the Everett Community College Foundation we offer 10 scholarships for those who see education as their way to a better life, for themselves and their families.

Transitional Support

The Transitional Support Program provides vouchers to be used in our Thrift Store for clothing and household items for families and individuals in need in our community. The vouchers are distributed to families and individuals by one of the following agencies that we have agreements with:

  • Cocoon House

  • Homage Senior Services

  • Housing Hope

  • The Red Cross

  • Salvation Army

  • YWCA.

Starting Over Supplies (SOS)

Working with Housing Hope and Cocoon House we assist individuals and families who are in a period of housing transition to a better life by providing bedding, dishes, pots and pans and other essentials as part of that next step in starting over.

Cocoon House Pop-Up Thrift Store

This program serves homeless youth at the Cocoon House U-Turn Center in Everett. Warm clothing is provided and the youth are given vouchers to come in and shop for what they need in an environment that is comfortable for them. This event is held in November to coincide with National Homeless Youth Awareness Month.

Pass It On Program

Unusable items donated to the Thrift Shop are distributed to other nonprofits that then pass it on to in-need individuals and families.
