Media Specialist Natalie Caddell of Lincoln Elementary School in Brunswick County rewarded reading at her school with a little help from our Links to Learning program. The educator grant program is designed to enhance curriculum and stimulate creative thought at our Operation School Bell schools.

Caddell received an $800 grant to help stage “Battle of the Booksters,” which coordinated with the One School, One Book schoolwide reading of The Wild Robot. The grant paid for team T-shirts for the inter-school competition, a mini bendable robot for a project involving each student in the school, and robot notepads. Lincoln’s 700 students met their goals, and the team is “ready to take on the competition,” says Caddell.
