Who We Are

Assistance League of Hemacinto is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action through philanthropic programs in the communities of Hemet and San Jacinto.  Member volunteers are dedicated to ongoing support and a long-term presence in the community through hands-on involvement and innovative philanthropic programs.

Since its charter in 1979, Assistance League of Hemacinto member volunteers have consistently provided quality service to the community.  During the 2015-2016 year, 92 members contributed 24,000 volunteer hours.

Our major philanthropic program is Operation School Bell®, which provides new clothing to elementary children referred to us by school personnel in the Hemet and San Jacinto Unified School Districts.

The Thrift Shop is our main source of funding. Donations are always welcome and are tax deductible.

We also depend upon grant support and donations from local businesses and individuals in our community.

Mission Statement

Assistance League of Hemacinto is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) philanthropic volunteer organization chartered in 1979 that develops and implements community based philanthropic projects.

Our founders had a vision in 1976 when Hemacinto Assistance League was organized as a Guild, and after three years, Hemacinto received a Charter from the National Office.

Today their vision is being carried on by dedicated volunteers who contribute over 12,000 service hours a year helping local children in need. We hope your visit to our website gives you a deeper understanding of the needs of so many living in our community.
