Once again, Assistance League of Northern Virginia, along with our partner, Dominion Energy, enjoyed another great turnout at our Weekend Food for Kids food packing on October 17. Twenty-three first timers, including George Mason University students, employees from Innovation Health, and Lions International, joined our regular cadre of volunteers, for a total of eighty-seven volunteers who shared in this fun event. For the third year, the Association of Electrical Engineers-National Capital Chapter (AEE-NCC) donated 500 LED bulbs for distribution to four Title I elementary schools in Northern Virginia.  Many thanks to the AEE-NCC for its thoughtful and generous donation to our mission to feed, clothe, and educate at-risk children in Fairfax and Prince William Counties and the City of Alexandria.

Our next food packing will be on the 21st of November at 10 AM. See you there. Location: Dominion Energy at 3072 Centreville Rd, Herndon.
