Everyone is invited to our triple header event at Franklin Farm this Sunday, April 24, to help our chapter, help the hungry and help the planet.
Our semi-annual paper shredding event is scheduled from noon to 3 pm (or until the truck is full) at 13501 Franklin Farm Road, Herndon. No cardboard, plastic, aluminum, wood, or metal items can be shredded. A minimum donation of $10 is requested; cash or check preferred, credit cards accepted.
We will also collect gently used sneakers for our GotSneakers fund-raising campaign. Your donation of gently used sneakers will help us raise funds for programs that serve children and families in need, and will keep old sneakers out of landfills and help the environment. Please note, we can only accept SNEAKERS. No cleats, Crocs, or flipflops.

Celebrate Earth Day in a special way by shredding your important papers and donating your athletic shoes to keep them out of landfills.
Also, our co-sponsor for this event, the Franklin Farm Social Committee, will collect nonperishable foods that will be donated to Community of Faith Food Bank. Since the start of the pandemic, millions of people have had to turn to charitable food assistance, and with food prices rising, food banks are seeing significantly more people needing help.

In one trip, you can help three worthy causes and help a wide range of people in need.
