Assistance League of Northern Virginia is honored to have been chosen by Giant Food to participate in its Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, which fights hunger in local communities with every purchase of a floral bouquet. Throughout the month of July, our chapter will receive $1 for every specially designated Bloomin’ 4 Good bouquet ($12.99) purchased at the Giant Grocery located at 2425 Centreville Road, in Herndon.

During any trip to the Centreville Road store in July, your purchase of the Bloomin’ for Good flowers will help to fight hunger in our local community and brighten someone’s day. We are grateful to Giant for this program that makes it so easy for shoppers to give back to local organizations like ours as part of their regular shopping routine. We are also pleased to be selected by two other Giant Grocery Stores for this program in August.

For more than 15 years, our chapter has been providing weekend food bags to 6 elementary schools in Northern Virginia that have a high percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price meals. During these times of rising prices, food insecurity is a critical factor in many children’s lives and we welcome all contributions that will help us continue our many philanthropic programs, especially our Weekend Food for Kids program.
