Assistance League of Northern Virginia is honored to be selected again by the Franklin Farm Foundation to receive the proceeds from the Silent Auction that will be part of the Marketplace and Community Fair.  On Saturday, May 13, local artists, craftspeople, and small businesses will be available from 11 am to to 4 pm at the Still Pond Pool Area (2700 Franklin Farm Road, Oak Hill, VA 20171) to showcase their crafts.  Members of Assistance League will be on hand to provide information about our philanthropic programs that feed, educate, and clothe elementary school students throughout Northern Virginia.  Please stop by our table to learn about the remarkable work we’ve been doing in the community for 20 years.  We are gratified by our partnership and support from the Franklin Farm Foundation, including the Shred Event in April.  Many of our earliest members lived in Franklin Farm and some are still members!  We hope that when you visit our booth, you’ll be impressed by our efforts and want to join our chapter.  We always welcome new members.

We will take orders for this year’s Official White House Ornament, which features a festive holiday wreath, adorned with decorations similar to those used during Gerald Ford’s administration.  Our price is $23. We will also collect gently used athletic shoes for our GotSneakers campaign, which is one way we raise funds for our programs.  We can only accept pairs of athletic shoes; no sandals, metal cleats, flip-flops, dress shoes, or boots.

Take advantage of the Craft Fair, find a unique Mother’s Day Gift, and get a jump on your holiday shopping.
