If you would like an in-person introduction to Assistance League of Northern Virginia and all our programs, we invite you to attend either of two events this weekend where we will showcase the many ways we’ve been making a difference in the area for 20 years.  We will also seek new members to help us continue our impressive legacy for many more years.

On Saturday, October 14, we’ll participate in the Centreville Day Community Festival, at Centreville Park, from 10 am to 4 pm.  On Sunday, October 15, we’ll be at the Venture into Volunteering Expo at Springfield Town Center from noon to 4.  Visitors should enter from the Maggiano-Yard House area and head downstairs.  Look for us, along with 40 other nonprofits, on the lower level of the mall.

At both venues, we’ll be happy to describe our food, clothing, and literacy programs for students at Title 1 elementary schools throughout the area.  Whether you know about our programs or have just heard about us, our members would be eager to help you find ways to make a difference in the lives of children in need by joining our organization

In addition, we’ll be selling the 2023 White House Ornament (only $23 https://tiny.alnv.org/who) and collecting gently used pairs of sneakers as fundraisers.  Because we receive no local, state, or federal funding, we rely on a variety of fundraising activities so that we can continue our philanthropic programs.  We hope you can help.
