Assistance League of Northern Virginia has been a chapter of the National Assistance League for 20 years, serving at-risk children with multiple programs. Over the years we have been able to expand our services to respond to community needs and help a greater number of elementary students at local Title 1 schools. As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we invite the public to join the celebration by making a purchase from our monthly wish lists to augment our ability to serve even more students.
Our April wish list features the short-sleeve T-shirts that children will need for spring and summer. Anyone with children knows how quickly they outgrow their clothes. But most people in an affluent area like Northern Virginia don’t realize how difficult it is for lower-income families to provide new clothes for their children as seasons change.
