Another Build a Child’s Library event is in the books! Every child in every class of this Title 1 elementary school was able to come and choose a book of their own. Assistance League of Northern Virginia volunteers brought and set up tables with hundreds of books according to grade level, helped the children make selections and then provided a place where they could sign their names into the books, making them theirs to keep. The smiles on the faces of the 625 children who received a book proved that the event was a huge success!

Our programs that support local children in Title 1 elementary schools with food, clothing and books are run on 100% volunteer power and can only happen because of fundraisers, grants and contributions.
