As a valued corporate partner, Quadrant, Inc. gives generously to our cause without expecting anything in return. We, however, would like to take this opportunity to highlight this company’s positive impact on our community and share how its president and chief executive officer (CEO) is bringing joy to others this holiday season and throughout the year.

Last year, Quadrant committed significant resources that has enabled our nonprofit organization to increase the number of weekend food bags provided to our partner schools in Fairfax and Prince William Counties and the City of Alexandria. The Reston-based company has contributed a significant portion of the cost of our Weekend Food for Kids (WFFK) program, which helps us satisfy the basic needs of children living in poverty in our service area. These are children from families who struggle to make ends meet due to job loss, rent increases and loss of financial support provided by federally-funded programs. The company’s commitment to our food program is making a difference in the lives of at-risk elementary school students, giving them the energy needed to come to school on Mondays ready to learn.

Quadrant President/CEO Caitlin Vargas Cissel wanted to make an even greater impact during the holiday season, offering to purchase Walmart and Target gift cards so that the families of every child enrolled in our WFFK program will receive a present before winter break. Our member volunteers and counselors at the six school are deeply moved by this outpouring of support and affection from Quadrant. One school counselor wanted to cry from joy when she learned about Quadrant’s plan to give each family a $20 gift card in conjunction with our monthly food delivery in December. Vargas Cissel’s wish is that the extra gift will give the heads of households the opportunity to purchase food for a holiday meal or to buy a special toy or item for their child that they would not otherwise be able to afford. This generous act of kindness will provide relief during this stressful time of the year and brighten many families’ holidays. We cannot thank Quadrant enough for showing these families that they are part of a community that cares.

Since 2015, Vargas Cissel and Quadrant’s actions have demonstrated both a dedication to our community and a strong belief in the work we do. The CEO encourages her executive staff and employees to volunteer and to give back to causes that are important to them. Through its significant financial support and event sponsorships, Quadrant has aligned with our nonprofit to help us advance our mission and raise awareness.

On behalf of Assistance League of Northern Virginia and the many children and families touched by your overwhelming generosity, thank you, Team Quadrant! We sincerely appreciate your company’s commitment to helping the less advantaged and look forward to maintaining our partnership, so we can continue to transform lives and strengthen our community.
