Robin Lyall received the Ada Edwards Laughlin Award from Assistance League of Orange at its Annual Meeting May 26, 2022. The award’s namesake was an integral, behind the scenes partner with Anne Banning in the founding of the first Assistance League, and it recognizes a member whose contributions to the Orange Chapter recall the kind of service Ms. Laughlin was known for. Robin was nominated by her fellow members and selected by a committee of past recipients of the award. In announcing the 2022 recipient, Marketing Communication Chair Catherine Rose noted Ms. Lyall’s roles in fundraising, strategic planning and membership development for Assistance League, as well as her support for the Assisteens® Auxiliary. Robin was completely taken by surprise at her selection for this honor and was, “beyond words” as she accepted flowers and a certificate from National Assistance League.
