Hygiene kits are given to each student who is clothed through Operation School Bell®. The kits include toothpaste, a toothbrush, and various hair care and hygiene products.
Volunteers for Hygiene kits can expect to donate 3 hours two times a year during the preparation of the bags.
Volunteers work assembly line style to place a variety of items in the hygiene kit.
Assembly of the bags is typically done at a member’s home during early September so that hygiene kits are available for the first Operation School Bell clothing event.
A second date may be needed if more hygiene kits are requested by schools for students who attend the science camp, SCICON.
