Assistance League of Visalia literacy program selects a school(s) to provide each student with a book for his or her home library. Books are selected by grade level teachers, used to enrich instruction and then sent home with each student to keep at home and read again and again. The number of schools recieving this gift of books is based on funding available. Enrich the literary of each child and family by donating to our efforts.

Volunteers for Rainbow Reading can expect to travel to schools in Tulare County to arrange books for distribution and supervise students as they select a book to take home. Depending on the travel time, Rainbow Reading is a 3 to 4 hour commitment approxmately four times a year.
