Assistance League of Bend’s Cinderella’s Closet loaned formal dresses and accessories to over 60 girls in Deschutes County this year so they could experience their high school proms. They even loaned dresses to some Oregon State University students who were attending a special college prom for students whose high school proms were canceled during the pandemic. Cinderella’s Closet was open on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the prom season so the girls could “shop” for their favorite dress. One of the girls shared that she felt like a princess in her beautiful gown. Thanks to a generous grant, the girls were also able to pair the dresses with stylish shoes for the occasion. In addition they borrowed elegant jewelry and cozy shawls to complete their ensembles. Click here to see Cinderella’s Closet in action on Central Oregon Daily.
