Assistance League of Bend provided new school clothing to 1,756 students in Deschutes County through Operation School Bell this fall. New clothes elevate self-esteem, promote peer acceptance, improve attendance, foster learning, boost graduation rates and inspire hope. The total cost to provide these clothes, coats and shoes was approximately $194,000.
