During the 2025 Operation School Bell® fall campaign we provided new school clothes, shoes, and coats for 1,931 local students in need. The students were given the opportunity to shop for new school clothes at the Bend and Redmond Walmart stores, thanks to the generosity of the Central Oregon community and Assistance League of Bend. Each student received a “ticket to shop” valued at $100 for grades K-5 and $135 for grades 6-12. The children selected items that fit and reflect their personal style, fostering dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

The benefits extend well beyond physical comfort. New clothes nurture emotional well-being, boost self-esteem, improve school attendance, and inspire success in and out of the classroom.
