In November, 2017, Books for Kids program delivered 400 books, 60 snack bags and water to the family coaches in the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program (TANF). Books for ages 9-12 are taken by the coaches to their clients. One little recipient now calls her coach “The Book Lady.”

On November 13, 2017, the Thrift Shop held its annual Holiday Event. Tickets were sold affording customers the first shopping opportunity for holiday items. This fundraising event generated several thousands of dollars in just two hours. Popular with customers and fun to staff!
