The Thrift Shop hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 12-4pm.  Donations are accepted Tuesday thru Saturday 12-4.  Also by appointment, please leave your name and phone number at 541-485-3721, and you will be contacted by one of our volunteers.

Philanthropic Programs

Operation School Bell®

Provides an opportunity for children in financial need to buy their own school clothes each fall, beginning the academic year with confidence.

Weekend Food Pantry

The Weekend Food Pantry Program provides weekend food assistance during the school year to nearly 2000 eligible low-income students and their families.

Oregon Heritage

Assistance League of Eugene organizes and gives tours at the Lane County Historical Museum to Lane County students, grades K-5.

Operation Hug a Bear

Assistance League of Eugene provides soft cuddly teddy bears to agencies serving individuals in crisis situations.

Operation Bookshelf

The Operation Bookshelf program provides Eugene Public Library materials for patrons who cannot visit the library themselves.

Welcome Basket

With the Welcome Basket program, Assistance League and St. Vincent de Paul work together to provide cleaning supplies to formerly homeless families as they move into permanent housing.

Caring and Sharing

Members of Caring and Sharing provide regular fellowship, musical entertainment and read-aloud sessions to residents of three long-term care facilities in Eugene.

Outreach provides flexibility to respond to specific community needs as they come up on a one time only basis. These projects or activities do not fit under any current chapter program. In 2016 Outreach provided preschool books to families served by Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).
