ONE OF 95 ASSISTANCE LEAGUE CHAPTERS ACROSS THE NATION, DEVELOPING PHILANTHROPIC PROGRAMS TO MEET THE NEEDS IN THE GREATER PORTLAND COMMUNITY.

Assistance League of Greater Portland is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that transforms the lives of children and adults through philanthropic programs in the Greater Portland community.

Member volunteers are dedicated to ongoing support and a long-term presence in the community through hands-on involvement and innovative philanthropic programs. We are part of a national organization.

Attempting to meet underserved needs, Assistance League of Greater Portland supports philanthropic programs that provide services to every age range in the community. Since its founding in 1961, our member volunteers have consistently provided quality service to the Portland area. Over 170 members contributed 42,500+ volunteer hours in 2024-2025 to serve at-risk children and families in our community.

COMMUNITY IMPACT*

5500+ Students received new school clothes 149 Victims provided with Assault Survivor Kits® 19 Youth in rehabilitation supported with activities and encouragement 34 students awarded scholarships to assist in preparing to work in a Trade

500+ People received emergency services such as food gift cards, start-up home kits for transitioning into permanent housing, child car seats, burner phones and minutes to survivors of domestic abuse through community agencies that ALGP partners with and supports.
