In an effort to ensure young children have the tools they need to focus on their early education, Assistance League of Laguna Beach supplies backpacks, educational materials and clothing to preschool children. In addition, ALLB provides eye exams and glasses when needed. Assistance League of Laguna Beach also funds and participates in special outings to local events, e.g., Laguna Museum, the Mammal Center in Laguna and the Pumpkin Patch.
Operation Preschool Readiness
Each Backpack Is Supplied With:
- crayons
- markers
- pencils and a pencil box
- a pencil sharpener
- scribble tablets
- colored paper
- scissors
- coloring books
- stickers
- a water bottle
- a personal care kit containing personal items
- socks
- underwear
Members meet at the Chapter House to organize the backpacks for delivery to the local Boys and Girls Club. Preschoolers receive their backpacks on the first day of the preschool program.
