The Assisteens held a Sees Candy drive in March. They voted to donate their profits to the Oceanside Animal Shelter. On April 24th they presented a check for $350.00 to the San Diego Humane Society. They also had an opportunity to tour the shelter’s small animal section. Thank you to our teens for all they do to help our community.

There was a good turnout at the April 24 Check presentation to the San Diego Humane
Society.  Vivian, Isabella, Rowan, Evelyn, and Aaron were all there to present the check from
our See's Candy earnings.  They received an informative tour of the Cat and Small Animal
Room as well.  Thank you so much for the fabulous five who were able to join us.  Co-Advisor
Beverly Charles' husband was so moved by your fundraising and your donation to the animal
shelter, that he plans to pay for our Thrift Shop aprons and your names badges for next year!
