For Local High School Graduates
Our scholarship program opens doors for students by providing aid for those who have earned it AND who need it most. We provide high achieving, high school seniors from families in need with a $1,000 scholarship to continue their education at a college or trade school.
Research has shown that grants and scholarships help students persist in their education. Financial assistance enables and encourages students to focus on their coursework, rather than attending school part-time and working part-time jobs to finance their education.
Eligibility requirements:
- Be enrolled in a Saddleback Valley Unified School District high school.
- Be a graduating high school senior who will be enrolled at a four-year or community college or an approved technical/trade school.
- Complete the ALSV High School Scholarship Application, which includes your written essay of 300-500 words on the topic provided, and submit the required documents.
- Have a high school grade point average of 2.5 or above.
- Use the funds for educational expenses only within one calendar year from the official award date. Funds will be paid directly to the college or trade school.
