Who We Are

Assistance League of Bend is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization making a difference in the lives of children and adults dealing with poverty, homelessness, and cancer in Deschutes County.  We serve the community through a number of philanthropic programs which include new school clothes for students living in poverty, memory books for foster children, personal care items for low-income seniors, and handmade hats for cancer patients and the homeless.

Although some of our programs and fundraising efforts are on hold due to COVID-19, we remain committed to meeting the essential needs of students by creating new ways to deliver clothing, technology and supplies in a safe and effective manner.  Click here to see the story on KTVZ.

Assistance League of Bend volunteers loaded 14 cars with complimentary personal care items and delivered them to over 260 Medicaid patients in local long-term care facilities this week as part of their Senior Caring program.  Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, lotion, toothpaste, and other hygiene products are delivered five times a year to 17 facilities […]

Les Schwab Grant

Assistance League of Bend has been awarded a very generous grant from Les Schwab to support their Operation School Bell® program. The funds will be used to provide new clothing to local children living in poverty.  Assistance League is extremely grateful for the continued support of Les Schwab.

Shoes to 850 Local Students

Assistance League of Bend is providing shoes to students in need in Deschutes County through their Operation School Bell® Program.  A partnership with Famous Footwear permitted them to purchase 850 gift cards at a discounted rate. These gift cards are being distributed through the Family Access Network advocates at each school.  Students will be able […]
