Who We Are

Assistance League of Bend is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization making a difference in the lives of children and adults dealing with poverty, homelessness, and cancer in Deschutes County.  We serve the community through a number of philanthropic programs which include new school clothes for students living in poverty, memory books for foster children, personal care items for low-income seniors, and handmade hats for cancer patients and the homeless.

Knitted Knockers

Assistance League of Bend volunteers have created and distributed several hundred sets of “knitted knockers” — knitted or crocheted bra inserts used by women who have undergone mastectomies. Secret Santa to 269 Seniors

As part of our Senior Caring program, Assistance League of Bend provided holiday gifts to 269 seniors in need. Residents from 14 assisted living facilities in Bend, LaPine and Redmond provided us with “wish lists.” Volunteers shopped for these personalized items and delivered the wrapped gifts in mid-December.
