Who We Are

Assistance League of Bend is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization making a difference in the lives of children and adults dealing with poverty, homelessness, and cancer in Deschutes County.  We serve the community through a number of philanthropic programs which include new school clothes for students living in poverty, personal care items for low-income seniors, and handmade hats for cancer patients and the homeless.

Assistance League of Bend’s Operation School Bell® is a Source of Hope

50% of Children Enrolled in Deschutes County Schools Qualify For Free or Reduced Lunch

Through Operation School Bell, Assistance League of Bend has proudly been providing back-to-school clothing to low-income children since 1991. Rising inflation can present hurdles for families struggling to make ends meet. New clothes, warm jackets, and shoes that fit are proven to boost a child’s self-esteem and help them feel more engaged in the classroom. We are seeking donations to provide more than 2,600 children in Deschutes County with new clothes.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to provide a local child with new clothing.
