Dressing Children in Need

Operation School Bell provides new clothing, shoes, school supplies and other basic necessities free of charge to students from families in need. ALCV’s assistance encourages regular school attendance, promotes learning, and enhances self-esteem.

2023 Statistics to Date

437 elementary school students dressed

349 middle and high school students dressed

Each Elementary School Child Receives:

  • one pair navy pants
  • one pair navy shorts
  • two white polo shirts
  • a new pair of shoes
  • six pairs of socks
  • six pairs of underwear
  • a jacket
  • a backpack with school supplies
  • a family hygiene kit
  • a stuffed animal of choice
  • a clothing voucher to the ALCV Thrift Shop

Middle School and High School Students Receive

A personal shopping trip to a local department store where they select their own school clothing, shoes, and supplies assisted by Assistance League members and parents/guardians. They are also given family hygiene kits and clothing vouchers to the ALCV Thrift Shop.
