Assistance League Glendale is a volunteer, nonprofit organization that is comprised of multi-talented volunteers working together to fulfill its mission. We are an organization whose members volunteered over 16,818 hours in 2019-2020 and 11,506 hours despite the pandemic in 2021. Our volunteers are dedicated to improving the lives of Glendale residents.

Membership is open to those who wish to be of service to our community and have the time, creativity and passion to volunteer. The joy of giving is expressed through extraordinary programs chosen to meet the specific needs of our community.

Membership Levels and Requirements

Voting:

• Serve on two standing committees and one philanthropic committee
• Volunteer one day a month and two half Saturdays a year in Thrift Alley
• Pay annual dues of $110
• Have the right to vote and hold office

Professional:

• Are employed a minimum of thirty-two (32) hours a week, or is a student taking a minimum of twelve credit hours per semester
• Pay annual dues of $105

Associate Members (Non-Voting):

• May participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the chapter
• Pay annual dues of $110
• May attend chapter regular meetings by making a luncheon reservation

Assisteens

• May participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the chapter
• Pay annual dues of $50 for students and $50 for adult

Community Volunteer

• • This is a non-member classification
  • Volunteer hours take place in our thrift shop
  • No dues payment

Assistance League Glendale has a philanthropic opportunity for everyone. We hold a monthly luncheon that often has a guest speaker, a special Christmas luncheon, hospitality field trips and participate in other philanthropic events like the Kiwanis Duck Splash. There is also lots of fun to be had serving Senior Neighborhood lunch, calling Bingo or volunteering in our thrift store. You can process donations, price, or work on the sales floor helping customers.
