On Tuesday, March 5th, in spite of bitter cold temperatures, nearly 450 people gathered to raise funds for Assistance League of San Antonio’s Operation School Bell® and Togs For Tots programs. The event, emceed by KENS 5’s Bill Taylor was highlighted by keynote speaker Lorenzo Gomez III, author of the Cilantro Diaries: Business Lessons from the Most Unlikely Places. The event also honored the Rising Star Sara Raffel, a high school junior from Veterans Memorial High School, for her literary achievement.
