At our January Baby Shower, members donated over 600 onesies to Caring Hands for the beautiful layettes they create for the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Christina Egan, Volunteer Services Manager and Camie VanKeuren, Chief Development Officer joined us for lunch and to thank us for everything Assistance League donates to the Medical Center. In addition to the layettes (onesie, hand-embellished blanket and hand crocheted hat) which are given to every new mother at the center, our chapter donates books, lap blankets, Hug-a-Bears and chemo hats to patients in pediatrics and oncology. By the end of the 2018-19 year, thousands of items will be completed and donated to SCVMC, Family Supportive Housing and Senior Bingo by Caring Hands.
