Happy Halloween, Parisi House on the Hill

Assist-a-Shelter volunteers purchased stickers, baby items, cute dolls, and so much more to create treat bags for the residents of Parisi House on the Hill. It was a very fun time with good people. Happy Halloween, Parisi House on the Hill!

Everyone was a winner last week when we were finally able to return to our senior facilities to conduct Bingo!

AL of San Jose continues to bake home-made cookies for Family Supportive Housing. Every month the chapter assembles bags of cookies to distribute to the children at lunch or as snacks when they do their homework. We are glad to bring some extra cheer to this great community organization.

Operaction School Bell Delivers!

Regular Meeting – By Zoom and In-Person

In August, we offered our membership a hybrid choice for attending our regular meeting. Approximately thirty members chose to come in person, while over 60 people Zoomed in! We’re still working out some bugs, but overall our members liked this format which we’ll continue to offer.

Petting Zoo at Family Supportive Housing

Caring Hands Delivers 330 Layettes to SCVMC

Sweet Deliveries to Family Supportive Housing

Assistance League of San Jose’s Assist-a-Shelter volunteers continue to bake and deliver cookie snacks for the children living at Family Supportive Housing. We are looking forward to the day when we can once again enter the shelter and serve meals in person.

Gift Bags for Stonebrook

Our Senior Bingo volunteers are eagerly awaiting the reopening of Stonebrook Health and Rehabilitation nursing facility. Bingo games were suspended over a year ago, but that hasn’t deterred these creative ladies who are now busy making special bookmarks and gift bags for the residents.

End of Year AL of San Jose Leaders Luncheon

Hurray! Finally, we were able to meet with our new and returning Board members and Committee Chairs outside at our Transition Luncheon.  It was nice to be out in the sunshine, share a meal and connect with friends. Thank you Pat, for sharing your beautiful backyard!
