Everybody Loves Breakfast! Saturday, February 1

The flapjack fundraiser is back! From 8-10 am, $10 gets you bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes and unlimited pancakes served by our own members at Applebee’s on Curtner. Tickets are available at the general meeting or at the door.

Holiday Gifts at Family Supportive Housing

At the chapter’s annual gift wrapping event at Family Support Housing everyone had fun — the children selecting gifts for their parents and the Assistance League of San Jose members wrapping those special gifts for them!  It was truly a rewarding holiday experience.

Soup Kitchen Dinner Fundraiser

Assistance League of San Jose helped Family Supportive Housing with its Soup Kitchen Dinner Fundraiser. We attended, ate yummy soups and cheered for the winners! Families gave thanks for having this shelter available to meet their needs and our chapter is happy that we can help.

Screening Eyes Early Training

Trained Assitance League of San Jose volunteers in the Screening Eyes Early (S.E.E.) program screen 3, 4 and 5 year-olds for early signs of possible vision disorders. Operation School Bell

As of October 2019, 39 elementary schools from three districts happily received 7,000 uniforms from our Operation School Bell Uniform Program. Our January uniform distribution will include homeless children and middle school students along with the measured schools. Members and non-members worked 3,223 volunteer hours ordering, warehouse organizing, measuring students and delivering uniforms. Many hands […]
