Happy Birds at Family Supportive Housing

Volunteers from the Assist-a-Shelter program brought their first child enrichment program of 2019 to Family Supportive Housing of San Jose. About 40 people attended Happy Birds, enjoying the antics of beautiful trained parrots, a special treat for children and adults.

Fun at the Culinary Capers FUNdraiser

Over 60 members and guests enjoyed cooking and baking at this year’s Culinary Capers. Participants followed recipes for appetizers and desserts in members’ kitchens. Then everyone socialized over the home made treats and danced to music from the 50’s. We put the FUN in Fundraising!

Barnes & Noble Donates Books

Thank you to Barnes & Noble for organizing a book drive for ALSJ during the 2018 holiday season. We received 772 books which we were able to distribute among several of our philanthropic programs. DKG Service to the Community Award

Our very own Gloria Cutshall has been honored with an award for community service from the Delta Kappa Gamma chapter of the southern San Francisco Bay area. DKG is an international society for women educators. It is wonderful that Gloria has been recognized for her many countless, selfless hours as a community volunteer. Congratulations!

Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast
