Lotus Preschool is so appreciative of the service of vision screening Assistance League of San Jose provides for their students through the community program of SEE (Screening Eyes Early). We have screened 535 preschoolers from 17 preschools. We referred 20 students to be seen by an eye doctor. So far nine students have visited an eye doctor. Of those nine, five have received glasses. One has an eye patch to strengthen the weak eye, two are in a wait and watch mode, and one has normal vision. We will continue to contact the directors to learn the results of all 20 referred.
