Over the summer, Readers Are Leaders volunteers chose the books they will read during the 2019-2020 school year. They read and discussed dozens of options before deciding on the final reading list. Once a month, students will hear and read two books. The list includes science, biography and non-fiction choices. In December, each student will receive a copy of National Geographic’s Big Book of Bugs to keep as a gift from ALSJ and our Readers Are Leaders donors. Over 1,000 students in San Jose can look forward to an exciting year of reading.
