Assistance League of San Jose’s Assist-A-Shelter volunteers have been very busy this month. Besides cooking homemade dinners and cookies, they have made over 100 placemats for Family Supportive Housing’s holiday dinner celebration. Volunteers have also collected enough essential hygiene items for 84 personal packages containing shampoo, soaps, tooth paste and lotions. These, plus four blankets and seven handmade, holiday themed, child-sized quilts will be donated to CityTeam this week.
