After nearly a year, AL of San Jose’s Assist-a-Shelter volunteers were excited to bring a petting zoo event to the children living at Family Supportive Housing. Seventeen children and a parent were able to reserve a time to get up close and pet these special animals. Hopefully, this will be the first of many activities ALSJ will now be able to provide for this essential family shelter as the COVID restrictions begin to recede.
