Seeing Eyes Early Vision Testing

What do you see? This month our Screening Eyes Early program volunteers tested the vision of 56 children at E. Valley Christian and REACH Montessori preschools. 5 children were referred for additional testing. Poor eyesight makes it difficult to learn, read, play sports, recognize faces, participate in social activities and navigate outdoors, especially on a busy street or crowded sidewalk. Lazy eye (amblyopia) if not detected early, can lead to permanent issues with vision. It’s important to screen children’s eyes EARLY. Ask your child, “What do you see?”
