In 1993 Assistance League of San Mateo County added the Assault Survivor Kits® (ASK) project to their list of community programs. In partnership with the Keller Center for Family Violence Intervention at San Mateo Medical Center, survivors of sexual assault are provided kits which include a sweatshirt, sweatpants, underwear and a note of encouragement. Also included is a hygiene kit which includes a toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap, and a comb.  During 2023-2024 we provided 39 sweat suit outfits and 39 sets of underwear.

Volunteers at Assistance League of San Mateo County recognize the need for sensitive and caring support for those individuals who have been victims of sexual abuse. We hope to provide some comfort while they are being treated at the medical center.
