Each year Assistance League of San Mateo County awards college scholarships of $3050 each to six deserving women who are returning to school to improve their lives through education. The scholarships are determined by financial need, academic achievement, and recommendation by the student’s advisor or counselor at each campus. Six scholarships are awarded in June at a presentation ceremony at the College of San Mateo, Skyline College, and Canada College.
The Laura Sale Scholarship is awarded in the name of our late Assistance League of San Mateo County member, Laura Sale. Laura served as president, and numerous other board positions over her 50 years of dedicated service to our San Mateo County community.
