Assistance League of San Mateo County is proud of our partnership with LifeMoves, a nonprofit organization that provides interim housing and supportive services that create opportunities for homeless families, individuals and veterans to rapidly return to stable housing and long-term self-sufficiency in San Mateo County.

LifeMoves is currently one of the leading shelter/housing service providers in San Mateo County.

Through funds raised at our Turnstyle resale shop, located at 60 North B Street in San Mateo, our chapter is able to purchase new household items for six apartments: bedding, pillows, cookware; pots and pans, bath towels, drinking glasses, and tableware for families entering temporary housing at First Step For Families and Maple Street Shelter.  As these families begin to rebuild their lives, they may take these household items with them when they are ready to move to a more permanent setting.

We also help their facilities: Family Crossroads in Daly City and Coast House in Half Moon Bay.
