Book Buddies is a dedicated group of member volunteers who work exclusively with Stockton Unified’s Lottie Grunsky Elementary School. Members arrive sharply at 8:00 AM to greet their assigned students in the library.  The children are eager to work on improving their basic reading skills.  The work our member-volunteers have done with these struggling second graders has so effectively improved their reading skills that their end-of-year reading tests improved proportionately more than their fellow classmates!
