On November 15, 1988, eighty-five charter members established the Bay Area Auxiliary of the Assistance League® of Houston.

In 1992, after careful consideration, the Bay Area Auxiliary took the necessary steps to become a chapter of the Assistance League. With the approval of our founding chapter, the Assistance League of Houston, and ultimately the national board, Assistance League® of the Bay Area became a guild of Assistance League® in January 1993.

Assistance League of the Bay Area was officially chartered in May 1994.

Today, thirty-six years later, we recognize and honor those individuals who were charter members and are still active members with us.
